Sidewalk and Transit Amenities Program

Managing 2,000+ bus shelters and street furniture elements across the City of Los Angeles, with plans for 3,000+. Shelters designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and BMW Designworks feature a modular kit-of-parts system with real-time e-ink transit displays, solar power, micromobility charging, delivery lockers, and emergency notifications. Tranzito designed and deployed a custom CurbOS™ platform for the City to manage the entire network. Winner of Fast Company’s 2025 World Changing Ideas Award.

“OC” is car-culture to the core; more cars and highway lanes have only increased congestion. OCTA needs a strategy to support transportation alternatives with a fresh look at new mobility.

Tranzito provided strategic consulting and practical recommendations for OC’s Mobility Hub implementation plan, including: component selection, maintenance & operations, funding models & sources, potential pilot programs, and a model for multi-agency program management.

LA Metro, Los Angeles County, 2015 - Present

LA Metro Bike Share is the largest municipally-run bike share system in the United States.

Bike share is the solution for first-last mile travel to and from Metro’s Bus and Rail programs. As a publicly-owned program, Metro can prioritize greater access and an equity-focus.

Under its BikeHub brand, Tranzito helped build out the program alongside prime operator Bicycle Transit Systems. Its team is responsible for bicycle repairs & assembly, and station management & installation.

LADOT pilot program for 97 mobility hubs throughout Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Prime contractor for a network of 97 integrated mobility hubs across Los Angeles and Long Beach, launching mid-2026.13 primary hubs at Metro Rail stations and 85 satellite hubs throughout the city. Each hub combines secure bike parking, EV charging, loading zone management, micromobility parking, real-time wayfinding, and digital services managed through CurbOS™. The program represents the largest integrated mobility hub deployment in the country.

The BART network provides efficient travel throughout the greater Bay Area, but passenger access to stations remains a limiting factor to system growth. Bike infrastructure Improvements bring new riders to BART.

Caltrain Mobility Hub

Caltrain, San Francisco. 2020 - Present

Tranzito expanded Calrain’s flagship bike parking facility into a multimodal mobility hub.

Caltrain connects Silicon Valley to San Francisco, via 4th & King Station. Last-mile options crowd the station, but a lack of organization causes congestion and pedestrian hazard. Tranzito successfully pitched and managed a mobility hub pilot, leading: program vision & strategy, RFP development & selection, coordinating right-of-way & grid power, and integration with private operators. Tranzito secured new funding streams to bring Caltrain’s costs down.

Install and operate secure bike parking at 74 metro stations across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Replacing aging infrastructure system-wide with BikeLink e-docks and e-lockers, Dero racks, and repair stands. Tranzito’s first East Coast operating program.
